Here I am swimming in the school swimming pool.  It is very cold but I am very brave!

Reading to Mum.

I am reading to my mum.  This is tricky for me because I don't know all of the words yet.  Next I would like to read sentences to my mum.

Kelly Sports.

We are learning to throw and catch and play games, on Tuesday mornings at Kelly Sports, 

with Coach Cameron.

Who Am I?

We had to tell about ourselves.  I had to think about me and what I look like.  Then write down the words and they are the clues.  We put them into a book so that other people can read them.  They have to think about what person it might be.  It is mystery to solve!!  It was tricky to finish the clues.  Mrs Kerr says, "hurry, hurry Tyrese!"

Telling the Time.

At Maths time I was learning to tell the time on a clock or a watch or a phone or on the ipad.   On this clock here, the big hand is on the 12, and the little hand is on the 2.  This means it is 2 o'clock.  If I change the little hand and it points to 3, then it would 3 o'clock.  At first it was tricky to learn the time, but now it's not tricky.

Reading Eggs.

I do Reading eggs at school and at home on my ipad.  I had to wait and listen and then click on the right letters.  It is easy for me because I know these words.  Next I would like to try the games on Reading eggs.

Year 1 Skipping Day.

Here I am jumping over the long rope on our skipping day.  I was really good at this!

Writing My Letters.

I am matching the big letters and the small letters.  It was easy for me because I know them.  I like my grey background the best.

Origami Art.

On Friday the 3rd of August, some Japanese homestay students visited us from Botany College.  We chatted to them first, took them for a tour around our school, and then they helped us to fold some Origami.  My buddy helped me to make a jet aeroplane.

My Shape Art.

We are learning about shapes like circles, triangles, ovals, rectangles and squares.  I made a laser alien ship and I used all of them but not a circle.  It was tricky to cut the yellow shapes because there are lots of them.   Next time I would make a normal alien ship with only one yellow part.

Blowing Bubbles.

We are outside blowing bubbles.  I can see big bubbles and I can see little bubbles.

Stardome Writing.

On Monday the 25th of June, Room 1 visited the Stardome.   We looked at planets and stars and space suits.  Here I am as an astronaut flying to the moooooooon!

When we came back to school we had to write a story about our trip.  Mrs Kerr let us choose some shapes in Tagul and then we had to import our words.  We could change the colours.  We printed them out and put them up on our space wall.  We think they look super AMAZING.  Here is my one.

Buddhist Temple Visit.

Mathletics at School.

I try different ones and then I know when I get it right because I see the green tick.  I am going to ask my brother if I can have a turn on the ipad and I can do Mathletics.

Reading on the Ipad.

I am learning to use the Ipad to read a QR code.  I can choose a book cover.   I scan the QR code and then the story comes up on Youtube.  It can be tricky to scan some of the books.  I enjoy it because I can listen to the story and I can watch it at the same time.  I chose this book called Bumpus Jumpus Dinosaurumpus!
